"But right now it's raining..." a quote from a film I've just saw (Australia), and a beautiful one I must say, quite relevant for me (us) at this time, because it's not only raining: It's Flooding, but in the metaphoric sense seen in the movie, which means one big thing, me and my monkey are having a great time together. This few lines are for you my dear, enjoy them as I enjoy writing for you, even if I do it in a foreign language.
This is a true story about a woman and a terrified guy... well, almost.
It was midnight... 2 o' clock says the watch, damn cold night, fiery wind blowing in my window, strange noises in the dark... it's some sort of bad dream, again... at least it appears so at the time I woke up, then the memory starts to work, you were into that dream, a place overrun by vampire-like monsters with not so good intentions for us, we were meant to escape in some kind of helicopters with a few more companions; the only other thing I remember is that we were the leaders, you and I, togehter in what is more possible to be the latest Hollywood blockbuster that a piece or reality, then the memory fades out suddenly... back into bed, alone again in that nighmarish darkness of the house, recovering from the shock, sweating, moving between blankets, thinking in only one thing: you.
You, my loving baby monkey, a girl that once I knew her I loved, the enigmatic Sandy, my little girl, my woman... that night after the dusk of my dream came the dawn of your image assaulting me like a white angel, spreading your wings over me and taking me with you, to a land where everything shines with a different colour, where we're living our own fairytale, casting away the night with a dance of kisses, caresses and overcrossed limbs, to a land where you are always standing at the end of the road with your arms wide open, where I can get blissed with the parfum of your soft hair, where we can lay down in its endless fields, playing, rolling around, chasing each other, loving ourselves all day... and no, it isn't wonderland, it is the land of love, one that you have created in my heart, and cultivated like a plant, only that you have used sweetness instead of water... certainly a delightful way to erase a heavy night like that, after that ride in your arms and above the clouds you took me back to my bed, and carefully kissed me in the cheek, and left me trying to sleep while I remember the times when I sung you "let me kiss you"... and again I'm alone, the night is still cold, wish your body were here beside me, so I could steal the warm of your legs... but you aren't, I get up, walk around my room anxiously, missing your golden toned voice whispering at my ear, then I run to the window hoping to see you flying away... don't see anything... desperation... need oxygen... a familiar tune begins to grow louder inside my head, the magic fire music (Die Zauberfeuer) from "The Valkyrie (Die Walkure)", an opera by Wagner, that's the music heard in the final scene, after Wotan casts a spell on Brunnhilde, condemning her to eternal sleep until a fearless man awakens her with a kiss after getting through a fire ring... it was in that moment when realized I'm that man for you, the one who won't care about obstacles to reach for your heart, the one who is going to give everything he's got to spend a minute at your side or make the world turn round just to see one smile of yours... then I looked again at the sky, the music still playing... I saw it... a great purple star, you were on it, smiling, looking at me... from that night on I could keep only one in my mind: I Love You.
